It would be great to have as many parents and community members there as possible but we will be attempting to live stream the meeting for those that would like to attend virtually. The P&C plays an enourmous part in the tone of our schooll and I would like to encourage everybody to come along.
This morning Rebecca Finn emailed me to advise that the is resigning from her role as our Student Welfare Worker. Whilst this is not ideal, I will begin the recruitment process immediately to find a replacement so that the disruption to our school is minimised. Accounts
Important reminder concerning accounts.
SRS (Student Resource Scheme) payments are now past due, please finalise outstanding SRS ASAP. If you need to organise a payment plan or are under financial hardship please contact the office in the first instance. Statements and reminder notices will be going out at the end of this month and I will be contacting those who have not made payments or arranged a payment plan by phone.
Instrumental Music fees are due on 28/04/2023 please ensure these are paid on time.
CANBERRA CAMP please keep up to date with your payments. The school has made payment for the fights deposit and will be making a final payment soon for the accomodation and other travel arrangements. We currently have 40 students attending from 2 schools and the outlay for this is significant. We cannot pay for the activities by the due date if we haven't received payments from attendees. Please help us out by making sure payments are up to date.
THANK YOU to everyone who has made payments and contacted the school to make alternative arrangements.

Year 1 Update
Welcome to Term 2, I hope everyone had a relaxing break and is ready to tackle the next ten weeks. The year 1 class have started off the term with a great attitude towards their learning, well done to everyone.
This week we have been busy learning new routines in our classroom, giving the students more independence with their learning and looking after their belongings.
So far so good.

Year 2 Update
Welcome back families… are you ready for Term 2?!
Well, the Year 2’s sure are!
Having finished off the last day of term by spreading Easter cheer to local businesses, holding a special book signing event with our egg-stra special guest, Mr. Montgomery and even managing to get our cooperative learning groups organised for the term ahead, the Year 2 students are back, relaxed and ready roll.

Year 5/6 Update
The 5/6s finished last term off at our Small Schools Volleyball competition (definitely winners in my opinion). The Easter Hat making and parade was lots of fun and everyone enjoyed helping the other year levels make theirs too.
We are selling poppies at the moment to raise money for the local RSL, this was initiated by the students in a student council meeting. Poppies are for sale before school and are $1 each
Lots to look forward to this term and we have all had a great start.

Late arrivals /Early Departures
Late arrivals /Early Departures
It is a Education Queensland requirement that any student arriving late to school or leaving early is signed in or out through the office. If your child is getting to class after 9am they must sign in through the office. If they are leaving before the bell at 2.45pm they must be signed out through the office. Teachers cannot sign students in or out.
If students are being collected early they must be signed out by a person listed as an emergency contact on their school profile unless the school has been notified in writing of a casual person who may be picking them up. This can be by email or text.
By prior arrangement students can be waiting in the office to be collected. Students are not permitted to wait at the butterfly to be collected early, we have a duty of care to primary school students to make sure they are collected by an authorised person.
If you have an appointment to get to please allow enough time to attend the office and sign students out.
We will do our best to make the process as quick as possible.
Thank you for your support with this very important safety policy.
